NYE in NYC

I know that Christmas is almost here, but that's not what I'm most excited about right now.

I don't want to make anyone jealous, but in exactly one week I will be in NYC. So if you know how to do your math, you'll realize that means I will be there fore new years and I will be partying as hard a Mormon can (e.g. soda, unhealthy food, dancing, laughter, etc.).

I've never been before so as you can imagine, my level of excitement is out the roof and with the anticipation mounting, I kind of feel like a combination between this:

and this:

With that said, I don't want to mess this trip up and miss out on something important. So to all of you that have been to NYC, what do I absolutely need to see/do/eat/buy/experience?

Lucky! I adore walking around Wall Street. The street is so curvy and narrow and the buildings so tall... a new kind of mountains. I love the cobbled streets and the old architecture.

I was just there in July, so let's see what I can come up with...I think Central Park was my favorite part of my whole trip. I went to the top of the Empire State Building at night and that was pretty cool. Probably wouldn't do it again, but it's cool once. I loved Time Square! So jealous you'll be there for New Years! You should probably go to a Broadway. Ask about student prices. Some have them and it's tons cheaper. You just have to show a student ID. Magnolia Bakery has AWESOME cupcakes. Bryant Park is pretty and the NY Library is amazing! Definitely a must see. Don't go to the Statue of Liberty. Take the Staten Island ferry (free!) across and then back again. It goes right by the statue, Ellis Island and Governor's Island. Definitely eat NY pizza. From anywhere. It will rock your world.

I'll let you know if I think of anything else, but those are some of the major points!
